The Greater Sydney Tourism Awards Gala Dinner was held on the 28th July at the Waterview Function Centre in Bicentennial Park, where 42 finalists eagerly awaited the announcement the winners for 2011. The winners were declared and celebrated in an evening of festivities attended by 200 tourism industry representatives. The Gala Dinner was an evening that epitomised the excellence, passion and spirit that makes the tourism industry in Greater Sydney shine, with great food, great entertainment, and of course lots of great winning smiles!

Greater Sydney Tourism Awards are an opportunity for tourism operators of attractions and businesses to gain an insight into their industry, their business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
Award recognition is a great marketing tool for any business and with the stringent conditions in which these awards uphold, the credibility is higher than most award programs. The Greater Sydney Tourism Awards are awarded via a rigorous and fair assessment and judging process. The Judging panel is made up of 12 judges, with a cross section of geographical areas within Greater Sydney. The process is audited by Baker & Baptist. All Gold award winners will proceed to the NSW State Awards as an automatic Finalist.
